Lake Loramie Improvement Association - Annual Boat Parade

The 2012 parade will be held July 15. The theme is "A Day at the ZOO".

Each year the LLIA hosts the annual Boat Parade. The parade is open to the public. Participants decorate pontoon boats according to the theme of the year. The entries are registered at 11:00AM at Earl's Island. The pontoon captain must be a member of the LLIA but membership can be obtained at registration. The parade starts at noon and traverses the shoreline of the beach area, Hegemans, preacher's point and the west shore line.

Prizes are awarded for the best decorated boat: $100 for 1st place, $75 for 2nd, $50 for 3rd and $25 for 4th.

After the parade, the LLIA hosts their annual picnic and July meeting at Earl's Island. The food service begins at 2:00pm and the meeting is conducted at the end of the meal. The prizes for the best decorated floats are awarded at the meeting as well as door prizes.
