This web site is written to conform to the W3C HTML standard version 4.01 and is compliant with XHTML version 1.0 and CSS3.
Many members of the LLIA live in a rural area and connect to the internet via a slow speed dial-up connection. (This webmaster included!) Therefore, this web site is developed in HTML with a minimal use of images. If you use a dial-up connection, you will notice that these pages come up on your screen very quickly. CSS has been used in place of background images and images of text to expedite page access.
This site is designed and tested using the Firefox web browser from Mozilla. IE is not used because of the lack of security and non-conformance to W3C standards. None the less, since IE is the most commonly used browser, an attempt will be made to correct any problems that may occur in the IE environment.
